Glow Racers, or Night Racing, is a Disney/Pixar Cars style series launched in 2023, which follows Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez in a rematch against rival Jackson Storm; the trio compete in a special "Glow Race" against other Next-Gen Piston Cup racers at the Copper Canyon Speedway's Dinoco 400. The book of the same name provides backstory for the stylized merchandising wave, with toys based on a glow-in-the-dark theme. The plotline and marketing structure is similar to previous entries under the Transcontinental Race of Champions series, but is branded separately.

Mattel's product lineup follows tradition of previous similar series, featuring a line of single-packaged die-cast cars (as well as a 4-pack starter set) with a center focal point being the "Glow Racers Launch & Criss-Cross Playset."
