Cars: Hot Rod Summer is a global style guide, developed for a Q1 2025 release in North America.[1] The art style incorporates 2D "hot rod" visualizations of the primary Cars cast, fitting their regular looks with flaming exhaust pipes and staggered wheel sets. Colorful "rainbow" smokescreens surround them in the sunny, desert landscape, with further icons themed around the Radiator Springs billboard lettering and common elements like the Piston Cup and checkered flag. The assets were available to licensees in 2024,[2] potentially as early as May.[3]
